有这样几个选择题我没弄懂
This book tells_____ life story of John Smith,who left______ school and worked for a newspaper at the age of 16.
A.the; the B. a;the C.the; 不填 D.a; 不填
我选的是A,答案给的是C.解释上说leave school 是固定用法,但我觉得即使在school 前加上the 也没问题啊,我可以理解为“特指的那所学校”,难道不行吗?

我选的是B,答案是D.答案上的解释我没看明白,说得太复杂,求一个简单明了的解释.

1.这里有两个固定用法
leave school：辍学 leave the school：仅代表离校,不一定辍学,可能是请假
【你可以上网搜下加定冠词与不加定冠词意义相差很大的词组来看看,有很多】
2.翻译一下：他的耗时是我耗费时间的三分之一
断句一下就是
He did it one-third / the time it took me.
one-third是修饰the time,所以不能分开
3.这个又是固定用法哦
当word作为信息,消息,传闻解释的时候,不加任何冠词
比如：He left word that ……
word有点麻烦,不同意义不同形式都有规定,很难记
4.say和right不同,他的前面一定形容词性物主代词或冠词,这是作为发言权解释的时候
作为决定权解释的时候,加the,不过应该不会考那么细,看看就好
哎,又是固定用法,认命吧~~
举个例子：have a say in the matter
5.表达我是中国人,不能加a
Chinese是集体名词,表示全体中国人,集体名词怎么能加a?
但有特殊情况,比如说people,它是集体名词,但也有做民族解释,所以想表达中华民族是一个伟大的民族时,说成“Chinese people are a great people."
虽然有点长篇大论,但好好看应该会有帮助 ^_^
