This paper analyzes the vocabulary of English and Minnan dialect to examine both cross-borrowing the language of contact.Minnan language of communities and their first contact with the English made a brief background,Mandarin and Minnan dialect also compared in the different attitudes towards excuses and reasons.As a common international language,English language does not exclude any kind of penetration,it is by borrowing words from various languages to enrich what it inherited.In the second chapter,the author traces the focus on some of the Minnan dialect words in English sources,and put them into proper nouns,called jargon,food and drink,and shipping commodities other four categories.In the southern Fujian dialect speech community,the public generally clever and open minded strong contacts with the outside to accept a lot of new words.In the third chapter,the author of the Minnan dialect in the first history of the word borrowed from English were reviewed,and the Minnan dialect words in the English language through into four categories:daily expression,commodity circulation,sports entertainment,and transportation technology.Finally,the authors also analyzed the pros and cons of loan words,English and Minnan dialect Signs conversion and its causes,and then pointed out that strengthening the southern Fujian dialect and its cross-cultural communication and English,the importance of research.Minnan dialect widespread overseas,high profile,but its not many people specialized research,especially its relationship with the English study less.Language contact between the two is a special cross-cultural communication research topic in today's growing number of exchanges between China and Fujian situation of the historical,cultural and economic Dengjun has important reference value and practical significance.
