since the late 1980s, young people in china got to know the term " DINK" (double income and No Kids), and some even followed this by-then brand-new lifestyle. As the conception of "DINK" was strongly against Chinee traditional values that the more children you have, the happier you family will be, "DINK" followers were regarded as rebels against the mainstream society in China.
Now in the 21"century, young generations have a lot more choices in their lifestyles. Traditional big families are losing their popularity, while most of us tend to build so-called "nuclear families" (a couple with only one child). at the same time, society offers more tolerance towards DINKs and those who remain single. Moreover, young people are likely to get married at a comparatively older age than their parents.
