②We go there everyday except Sunday.
我们除了星期天外天天去那里。（everyday与Sunday 是对应词）
2、 except后可以接不定式，介词短语，而except for 则不可。

②I can take my holiday at any time except in August .
除了8月份，我可以在任何时候休假。
3、 用于句首时只能用except for ,不可以用except.
